as historical data can be accessed
immediately and more than one person at
a time can be reviewing a file.
In
addition,
Alchemy can integrate with your
Claims Management Database system.
Forms processing is supported in the
initial capture phase of your daily
claims received. Depending on daily
volumes different scanner models and
techniques are used to achieve a cost
effective result. Extracted data from a
claim form can be uploaded to your
Claims Management Database with the
image file being linked, and filed, into
Captaris Alchemy. In addition MS Office
files such as Outlook Emails and Excel spreadsheets can be
managed within Alchemy.

Policy
Department
As with the claims department often
there can be a need to initially convert
a large volume of historical documents.
Policy departments may wish to capture
the complete process from Policy
Application to the Issued Policy.
Document can be filed into Alchemy and
tracked via their status. Unsuccessful
Applications can be retained for future
reference if there is another request
from the same person. Policy documents
are typically maintained in Annual
Alchemy databases. This provides a
true reflection on how the policy
department works in the paper only
environment and therefore makes
acceptance of the electronic filing
system easier and most cost effective.
Integration is also available with
workflow and your Policy Management
Database.
Admin
Department
As with the above department often there
can be a need to initially convert a
large volume of historical documents.
Admin departments may also need to
manage MS Office files such as Excel or
